A warm coffee... for a hot night!

Updated: Aug 24, 2023

Caffeine is better than Viagra. Those who habitually consume coffee have more fun under the covers... but you have to be careful.

Who drink coffee do it better! Yeah... maybe you've never thought about it, but our caffeine-rich drink helps put the fifth between the sheets.

This does not mean that before a performance you necessarily have to drink a coffee!

The Italian Society of Andrology, thanks to various studies, has managed to establish a correlation between the consumption of coffee and the benefits in the sexual sphere of people. One of the most common problems in men is erectile dysfunction and that is why there are specially designed medicines such as Viagra.

Although in a less targeted way, caffeine acts like Viagra. I'll explain how and why.

Among the components of the tissues of our body, an enzyme called phosphodiesterase has been identified. There are 11 different types of this enzyme and the one found in the corpus cavernosum of the penis is called PDE5 phosphodiesterase.

What happens when you take caffeine?

In practice, caffeine inhibits the PDE5 phosphodiesterase enzymes, thus promoting the blood flow to the cavernous bodies, thus allowing an erection. Exactly what sildenafil (the active ingredient of Viagra) does, but in a much more natural way!

So when should I drink coffee?

If you are looking for a precise time or moment to be sure of going on target... I'm sorry but it doesn't exist!

However, we can say, thanks to the studies carried out by the Italian Society of Andrology, that the benefits are obtained by habitually consuming 3 coffees a day, reducing the risk of erectile dysfunction by ⅓.

...and the women?

But if erectile dysfunction is a completely male problem, studies on the consumption of caffeine (which I remind you is the most studied drug in the world) have also discovered its benefits for the female body.

According to studies by the University of Texas at Austin in 2010, caffeine stimulates blood flow and heart rate, increasing the level of excitement.

It is therefore correct to say that coffee is a perfect weapon against the decrease in desire, indeed women who consume coffee at least once a week can experience a natural increase in libido.

Certainly coffee is not the only missing piece to improve your performance in the bedroom, but having a healthy diet and obviously exercising are essential.
